S&P 500 Index futures rose 0.2% as of 7:06 a.m. in Hong Kong. The S&P 500 Index climbed 1.2%.
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index rose 0.5%.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index futures gained 0.3% earlier.
Currencies
The yen traded at 104.74 per dollar.
The offshore yuan was at 6.6887 per dollar.
The Bloomberg Dollar Spot Index rose 0.1%.
The euro was at $1.1642.
The British pound was at $1.2916.
Bonds
The yield on 10-year Treasuries declined three basis points to 0.84%.
Australia’s 10-year bond yield fell two basis points to 0.8%.
Commodities
West Texas Intermediate crude rose 0.5% to $36.99 a barrel, adding to a 2.9% advance.
Gold was at $1,895.09 an ounce after strengthening 0.9%.
